Human-Power-go green with every little step
This human-powered green vehicle (And it is also painted green just to drive home the point) has been recovered from a giant pile of trash that was found at the city’s dump. The vehicle seems to be some kind of experimental human-powered transportation medium and might have been discarded by the designer as he either did not find it of any substantial use or maybe there were already quite a few akin to this one...

With human activities across the planet wrecking havoc with natural ecosystems and destroying the balance that exists in nature, we are more likely to face the fury of the planet more often in the coming years. While the planet tries to attain a state of balance, it will lead to more than the normal share of natural disasters cropping up. While one has to wonder how many of these ‘natural disasters’ are man-made, it is also obvious that we need to strap up and be ready to face them...

Sun is considered next to god, at least for eco folks, as everything can be powered with its ever available, unrestricted energy. However the negative effects of its rays deters me to allow my kids in open when the sun is at its fullest. If only we had a SuperKraken installed in the play area of our complex too.
This play structure works as a space where kids can unleash their imagination. Featuring a geodesic dome crafted from polycarbonate plates which are coated with anti-UV films, it houses marine life themed slides...

At the Washington University they have discovered a process by which fermenting bacteria are guided into breaking down the waste products during the process into methane which can be pumped back into the plant to power it, thus cutting down on the amount of power needed to produce ethanol as much as 50%!
Greenhouse gas emissions are also cut down considerably by this process.

Wind powered sail
Isn't exactly a new idea the wind powered maritime travel.Actually it's a really old idea. So it's easy to make fun of the inovation of SkySails.
SkySails add giant kites to the front of barges in order to reduce their fuel consumption by 20%.
Turns out they are. Per square meter of sail, they produce five times more energy than traditional sails. Depending on wind conditions the 160 square meter kite can generate about as much force as an Airbus jet engine.

Tropical storm in Golf of Mexico
The depression, expected to grow to at least tropical storm, and perhaps hurricane strength before reaching the coast sometime Tuesday, is currently located 85 southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River or about 415 miles east of Galveston, TX.A tropical storm warning has been issued for parts of the western Louisiana and Texas Gulf Coasts as a tropical depression has formed in the Gulf of Mexico.Most of the tracking models call for the storm to reach strong tropical storm strength before hitting the Texas coast, but due to its location, the National Hurricane Center said tropical storm warnings were being posted from the Mississippi River to Intracoastal City. A tropical storm watch has been posted western to Port Arthur, TX.
